Catalytic converter
CONPANCOL has designed sulfuric acid plants for more than 50 years, this includes the design and construction of the converter unit, in which the SO2 is converted to SO3 in the presence of a pentaoxide vanadium catalyst (V2O5). These units can be constructed in carbon steel or stainless steel.
The catalyst can be supported by cast iron grills or stainless steel grids, quartz stones or ceramic balls and intalox saddles, which we can also supply. We also supply or assemble the insulation system.
